Livan talking with the Nationals?

According to the Rocky Mountain News, Livan Hernandez is now telling interested teams that he has an offer from the Washington Nationals.

With the Nationals need to fill more than one spot in the rotation, Livan would make perfect sense. He would likely come pretty cheap for the amount of innings he would provide the team. The Nationals only other quality starting pitchers, John Patterson and Shawn Hill, have proven that you can’t go into the year counting on them for too much.

While he got the offer, I still think he’ll get a deal from a contending team that he’ll take more serious as he faces the end of his career.
