Trever Miller returns to Tampa

The Tampa Tribune is reporting that Trever Miller has agreed to a one-year deal with the Rays. The deal will pay Miller $1.6 million in 2008 and includes a $2 million option for 2009. Miller will become the Rays left handed specialist in the bullpen.

When talking about his hunt to land a contract for 2008, Miller said,”the process took a lot longer than I thought it would and it got a little frustrating at times, but we hung in there.”

Miller pitched out of the Rays bullpen in 2004 and 2005 before pitching for the Houston Astros for the last two seasons.
