Red Sox sign Youkilis to one-year deal

The Boston Globe is reporting that the Red Sox have signed their remaining arbitration eligible players to one year deals. The most noteworthy of the bunch, first baseman Kevin Youkilis, signed a one-year deal valued at $3 million. Youkilis asked for $3.7 million, while the Red Sox countered with $2.525 million, so they met a little below the mid-point.

Relief pitchers Kyle Snyder and Javier Lopez were also eligible for arbitration this off-season. The Red Sox signed Lopez to a one-year deal worth $840,000 and signed Snyder for $835,000.
