UPDATE (2-15-08; 7:28 PM): The one-year deal is for $7 million. Bedard had been seeking $8 million, while the Orioles had offered $6 million. The Mariners inherited the situation after acquiring Bedard in trade. Bedard is eligible for free agency following the 2009 season.
