Pettitte reports to camp, feels strong

After a winter filled with courtroom drama, Andy Pettitte was able to get back to what he knows best … baseball. Pettitte returned to the mound today and threw 35 pitches, almost on par with the rest of the Yankees pitchers.

Pettitte said that despite the winter filled with controversy surrounding steroids and human growth hormone, he feels that if he were behind his teammates any at all physically, it would be in his leg strength.

He also had a press conference today, apologizing to the Yankees and Astros, their fans and fans of Andy Pettitte for the “embarrassment” he caused surrounding the human growth hormone controversy over the winter.
