Pierre could wave his no-trade clause

The arrival of Andruw Jones in Los Angeles was likely welcomed with open arms for everyone except Juan Pierre. Just over a year ago, Pierre signed a five-year, $45 million deal to be the Dodgers center fielder. Now, he’s fighting Andre Ethier for the starting job in left field.

“I know I’m going to go out to try to bust my tail to make myself better as well as the team,” Pierre said. “At the end of the day, hopefully, they could see that I could benefit the team. And, if not, it’s one of those situations where they might get rid of me or something.”

When asked about the thought of waving his no-trade clause, Pierre replied by saying, “I don’t want to be where I’m not wanted.”
