UPDATE (02-20-10:02 PM): Kim’s deal with the Pirates is officially a one-year, $850,000 deal. Pirates general manager, Neal Huntington, stated that interest in Kim was only with him being a reliever in mind. He’s expected to become Matt Capps setup man.

UPDATE (2-20-08; 5:15 PM): Mets’ general manager Omar Minaya told reporters today that there is no reason to look deeper into Garcia being at the Mets facility today.
“He’s close with Johan and Pedro, and he just wanted to say hello,” Minaya said. “We’re not interested in him.”
