Josh Fogg signs with Reds
UPDATE (2-21-08; 1:45 PM): Josh Fogg finally has a team. Fogg finally found a landing spot this afternoon when he signed with the Reds. He signed for $1 million and will compete for a spot in the Reds rotation. He’ll join a host of pitchers vying for the final spots in the Reds rotation.
“The offseason didn’t go like a lot of free agents planned,” Fogg said.

The Reds have been hard after another starting pitcher all winter and have spent the last few weeks talking to the A’s about Joe Blanton. They’ve finally filled the need, reportedly close to signing Josh Fogg to a one-year contract.
Fogg is set to sign a one-year deal worth $1 million, and probably some incentives included in the deal, according to a baseball source. However, Reds general manager Wayne Krivsky said, “We have not signed anything,” which kind of puts the future of the deal in doubt.
This caps a strange off-season for Fogg, who earlier in the off-season turned down a one-year deal worth $5 million, due to him wanting to sign a long-term deal.
