Twins’ Crain back on mound

Twins right hander Jesse Crain was back on the mound Wednesday for his second bullpen session of the week. He had shoulder surgery last May to repair a torn rotator cuff and a torn labrum, but appears to be on track to return by Opening Day. He feels he is still about 80 percent.

“It’s taking a little getting used to again,” Crain said of all the activity. “I feel good now but I think that whenever I face hitters, that’s when I will really see how I feel.”

The Twins are currently planning for Crain to throw every other day, at least for now. The club is going to be cautious with Crain as they try not to rush him back, realizing they still have a month and a half before Opening Day.
