Chris Ray expands throwing program

Another closer coming off Tommy John surgery and another success story. Baltimore Orioles’ closer Chris Ray is attempting to come back from a surgery he had in August. He’s hoping to return to the team after 12 months of recovery.

Ray recently expanded his throwing program by adding 25 throws from 60 feet, in addition to the 25 tosses from 45 feet that he was already doing.

“I’m just sticking to the schedule,” Ray said yesterday. “I’m not sure when the next jump is, but I’ll probably be on this a few more times. I feel really good. I’m pleased how my elbow is feeling right now.”
