Ponson to throw for Cardinals scouts

Sidney Ponson is expected to throw in front of Cardinals scouts within the next week. Ponson pitched for the Cardinals in 2006, making 13 starts and one relief appearance to the tune of a 4-4 record and a 5.24 ERA.
What’s wrong with returning a phone call to David Wells or Jeff Weaver? Both surely have more to offer than Sir Sidney.
