Orioles interested in Mark Loretta

The Baltimore Sun is reporting that the Orioles are showing interest in Mark Loretta, perhaps indicating that talks surrounding Brian Roberts are proceeding with the Cubs.
Loretta has shown that he can still be valuable to team through his play on the field over the last couple years, but at the time it is going to be hard for him to crack the Astros lineup. The team has Lance Berkman, Kaz Matsui, Miguel Tejada and Ty Wigginton around the infield, with Geoff Blum serving as another utility man.
The Astros sent a scout to Sunday’s game, which implies that they are at least listening to the Orioles trade wishes.
