The Seattle Mariners announced the release of left-handed pitcher Horacio Ramirez today. Ramirez was 8-7 with a 7.16 ERA in 20 starts during his only year with the Mariners. He had a 5.40 ERA in two games this spring.

The Rays are going into another season with everything pointing to Rocco Baldelli spending a large portion of the season on the disabled list.
