Barfield expected to be Triple-A bound

Josh Barfield, the once promising player the Indians traded Kevin Kouzmanoff for last off-season, will probably be headed to Triple-A when the team breaks camp.  Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer speculates that Barfield will go to Buffalo because the Indians want him to play every day.

With his inability to play anything but second base the team can’t keep him on as another utility infielder, and Asdrubal Cabrera has second base locked up at the moment, leaving Barfield nowhere to play if they were to keep him in the major leagues. They expect Jamey Carroll and Andy Marte, who is out of options, to make the team instead.
