The Seattle Mariners have designated outfielders Brad Wilkerson and Greg Norton for assignment to make room for Jeff Clement and Wladimir Balentien.

Chad Cordero’s injury woes continue to be a problem. As mentioned last night, Cordero left his appearance last night with an apparent injury. Today’s MRI confirmed that Cordero has an acute tear of the latissimus dorsi muscle.
The injury will keep Cordero out for at least four weeks and maybe up to 8 weeks. […]
