Marlon Byrd’s sore knee is going to land him on the disabled list. To replace him on the roster, the Rangers have called up German Duran from Triple-A. The Rangers will have to make another move to make room for Duran on the 40-man roster before tonight’s game.

J.J. Putz threw a 41 pitch bullpen session on Wednesday, though he won’t be activated despite being eligible to come off the disabled list today.
