Sheets exits after five with tightness in throwing arm

On a night where Ben Sheets was cruising through the Cincinnati Reds lineup, he was forced to leave the game after just five innings. The Brewers were winning 5-0 when Sheets was pulled, so he could still be in line for the win, but the more pressing issue is that he left the game after throwing just 59 pitches.

Sheets left the game with what is, for now, being called “tightness in his right triceps.”

I’m sure there will be more to come with this injury, though it could be a case where the team felt comfortable with a lead and wanted to play it safe with their ace experiencing a bit of soreness.
