Belisle could return on Monday
The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that Matt Belisle could return to the Reds as soon as Monday. Josh Fogg is currently scheduled to start Monday’s game, but it’s looking like Belisle could move into the spot.
Belisle allowed just one run over seven innings Wednesday at Triple-A Louisville with the team’s general manager looking on.
“He looked good,” general manager Wayne Krivsky said. “He pitched seven innings the night I saw. He went over 100 pitches. He threw all his pitches, threw them for strikes, got ahead of the hitters. He had a good outing.”
Krivsky said if they bring him up, it will be as a starter, and word around Reds camp is that Dusty Baker is not too high on Josh Fogg.
