After speaking to the Reds team doctor, Jorge Posada is going to attempt to rehab his shoulder with rest. Posada will rest his shoulder for 10 more days of doing nothing before testing it again by throwing and hitting.

The Marlins have placed Josh Willingham on the disabled list with back stiffness. They called Brett Carroll up from Triple-A to take his roster spot.

Dmitri Young “experienced a sudden and dramatic breakthrough for his sprained lower back” after receiving a massage from the team’s massage therapist.
