Brewers designate Turnbow for assignment

The Brewers have finally made the decision to designate Derrick Turnbow for assignment. Turnbow hasn’t been happy about being delegated to a mop-up role in the bullpen and the latest appearance in such a role didn’t go well for the right hander.
Turnbow is 0-1 with a 15.63 ERA on the season. In just 6.1 innings pitched, Turnbow has given up 12 hits and 13 walks.
The Brewers will now have ten days to trade, release or place Turnbow on waivers in an attempt to pass him through to Triple-A. The Brewers will be on the hook for what’s left on Turnbow’s $3.2 million salary.
