To make room for Chuck Jame’s return from the disabled list today, the Braves sent their closer, Rafael Soriano, to the disabled list with elbow tendinitis.
Soriano missed the first two weeks of spring training due to a sore elbow and was held out of Monday night’s game due to a sore elbow, as well.

UPDATE: Just got word from a friend in the pressbox at Turner Field that, according to the team’s press release, Spiezio will first report to Class-A Rome on Tuesday, before reporting to Triple-A Richmond on Wednesday.
