After watching Matt Clement’s first bullpen session of Spring Training, pitching coach Dave Duncan has doubts about the newly signed right hander.
“In all honesty, I will be surprised if he’s ready for opening day,” Duncan said.

The last spot in the Cardinals rotation is up for grabs, and there are as many as five names ready to grab it. The Marlins Anibal Sanchez is scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews on Monday in hopes of getting an idea of when he will be ready to rejoin the starting rotation.
